Glowing Hands¶
Glowing Hands is a performance utilizing gloves which allow the wearer to mime the effect of manipulating light like a substance. The gloves incorporate motion sensors and light-emitting diode modules linked to a hidden microcontroller. The software processes the motion data to allow gestural control of the light. For example, a “grabbing” motion with one hand will cause that glove to turn on with a random color as if light itself had been plucked from the air. Other gestures simulate the effect of tossing the light from hand to hand, tossing it up in the air, or dropping it.
